My aunts wedding

Vica, Sophie, Melinda, Lara, Me, and Isabel
The number one reason that we went to Hungary was: my aunt was getting married.

My aunt ( Anita), Sophie ( my sister), Isabel ( my other sister), and I went over to my aunts (Melinda) house to prepare for her wedding. We arranged a food bowl, my grandma baked some treats, and we set up the decorations.

I was one of the flower girls so, when we were about to leave and one of the other flower girls had arrived I put on a head piece made of flowers. We drove to this place where we met the fourth flower girl and waited for the bride to arrive. Once the bride arrived we went into a room and got seated in a big room. This lady went over to the front of the room and started talking in Hungarian. I thought that it was very boring listening to her talk, so whenever some funny music came on I started waving my hands like I was the directer for a famous orchestra. Some Lara joined in and by the end we were laughing. One of the reasons that I was laughing was because of the music. The second reason why I was laughing was because the lady who was talking was moving her lips in a very funny way that made me want to laugh.

After that we went to my aunts house to have a snack and play. We played bingo and a card game. After about an hour we went to a restaurant to have dinner.

Overall this was a very fun first wedding that I have ever been to.

Billy Elliot

If you do NOT want to know the outcome of this story then do NOT read this post!

If you are wondering why the title of this post is Billy Elliot then I will tell you in this post. So, read on to find out.

Billy Elliot is a musical that was also a movie. The movie was very good, but the actors had some heavy Northern accents so, I couldn't always understand what they were saying. Can you believe that the musical was even better than the movie?!

Plot: A little boy, Billy, lives in a small town in the time of the miners strike. He has a brother, after, and grandmother ( his mother died when he was young). His father wants him to do boxing, but he really doesn't like it. One day he stays after the boxing class and watches the ballet class. At first he doesn't join in, but after a little while he joins in. One day during the ballet classes his father storms into the room and saw Billy in the ballet class. He gets really angry at Billy and forbids him from going to any more classes. Billy doesn't listen to his father and keeps on going to classes. Billy's teacher thinks that Billy should try out for The Royal Ballet School. The practice and it's time for the auditions! He goes home and sets his alarm clock ( 8:00 a.m) for the next morning. He wakes up and it is past 8 o'clock! He starts getting ready when his teacher ( remember his dad and brother think that he has stopped doing ballet, and they don't know that he's trying out for The Royal Ballet School) stormed into the house. She was really mad at Billy for being late and they missed the auditions. The dad demanded that Billy should show them what he could do, but he didn't. One evening the dad saw Billy dancing and he really liked it. So, he started working and everyone else helped him get money. One of the problems were that if Billy got into the ballet school his dad would have to pay around $1,000 a year. The other problem was that the auditions were in the city and the family didn't have a car so, they would have to pay for a bus fare for two people which in those days was a lot of money. Once they have enough money they go to the auditions. A while later they receive a letter that saids that Billy is accepted at The Royal Ballet School.

Arriving at my grandma's house

I haven't been to Hungary for about two years so, it was about time to go and visit my relatives.

I arrived at my grandma's house. As soon as I arrived, the car door flung open and all my friends and relatives crowded in. I got out of the car and said hello to everyone in Hungarian. Once I said hello and hugged everyone, I raced over to my grandma's house. It was so nice to be inside.  The first thought I had when I got inside was to play with my old toys. So, I asked my grandma to get the toys and I started playing with them. After ten minutes my sister ( Sophie) suggested that we go and visit our neighbour Iloka neni.

(Iloka neni has been my friend and neighbour for as long as I can remember. Whenever we visit my grandma we spend about 50% of our time with her. My grandma and her garden are connected which means that there is no gate between our yards and we can always walk over to her house without having to go outside the gates.)

She was very happy to see us and we were very happy to see her. She asked us if we want to pick some raspberries, cherries, or something else ( I don't exactly know what it's called in English) or all of them. We chose all of them. We went outside and picked some raspberries. The reason why I don't like picking cherries in her garden is: there are a lot of humungous bugs that are always flying on the tree.

When we got back to the house it was time for dinner.

That was an awesome first day in Hungary!

Trip

My family just spent one week in Hungary and it was time to go back to London.

First of all, my mom forgot some papers at my aunts house, so we had to go there to get the papers. We stayed there for about an hour. We were all sad when it was time to leave, but we did not want to miss our flight, so we had to leave.

We were getting close to the airport when I noticed that a lot of cars were making a u turn and going back the way we came from. When we got to the front of the line I saw that the road to the airport was closed! So, we followed some cars down another road until we got to a traffic light. Some cars were turning left, right, and some were going straight. We didn't know which way to go so, we just followed the cars going straight. My mom told my dad to put the airports address into the navigation system, but my dad hit the wrong address. I looked around and I noticed that it didn't look like we were heading the right direction, because there were very few cars and it was very quiet.  We had been going straight for quite a while now, so my mom pulled over to the side of the road and asked someone the directions to the airport. It turns out that we were going the right way. My mom thanked the stranger and continued down the narrow street. At the next traffic light we turned left and after a few minutes we saw an airplane in the sky.

Before we got the the airport my dad told my sisters and I that we were going to check-in while my mom was going to drop off our rented car.

Two and a half hours later...

We were going to go on the Gatwick Express and we had already bought the tickets. My mom asked someone what platform we had to go to to catch the train to Victoria Station which was in five minutes. The man answered, " Platform five." We turned around and saw my dad on the escalator going down. We had to followed him down. Once we were there we saw that platform five was in a different section! We had two big bags, two hand bags, a big red baby bag, and a pram. We could not climb the stairs back up to platform five, and there was no escalator going up. We looked around and finally found an elevator. We ran to the elevator and pressed the 'Up' button.  When we arrived at the main floor we raced across a hallway to another elevator that would take us to platform five and six. I pressed the 'Down' button and the elevator went down. We arrived at platform five one minute before the train left. The doors were closed, because the train was about to leave. A man helped us climb inside.
That was the end of our tiring and exciting trip.
