Kayaking

My dad, mom, sister, and I decided that we wanted to go Kayaking. So, we went down to Turtle Beach were we set off into the water. On the way to our destination ( I didn't find out until my dad told me) I was sitting in a kayak with my dad. We were kind of racing against my sister and mom, but it was a fair game. We got to a certain part were the water was two different colours ( I'll explain later why they were two different colours). It was really shallow so, we couldn't put our paddles too deep into the water. When we were approaching our destination I saw that it was a beach. I didn't want to go to the beach so, I started trying to stop the kayak and paddling the other direction, but my dad told me to stop. When we reached the beach my mom and sister were far behind us. While we waited more and more kayaks started pulling up on either side of our kayak.

We went to splash around in the water for a while, but we wanted to watch a soccer match ( Mexico against Netherlands) so, we got back into the kayaks and started the journey back to Turtle Beach. On the way back I was with my mom and my dad and sister were in the other kayak. I promised to tell you why the water was two colours: the lighter part was normal water and the darker part was covered with sea grass. The water was shallow so, my mom and I decided to get out of the kayak and walk as long as the water was shallow. We got back into the kayak and rowed all the way back to Turtle Beach.

That was the end of our kayaking expedition!
